1 Verse 1 How does the city that was filled with people sit solitary! Verse 2 She weeps sore in the night, Verse 3 Judea is gone into captivity by reason of her affliction, Verse 4 The ways of Zion mourn, Verse 5 Her oppressors are become the head, Verse 6 And all her beauty has been taken away Verse 7 Jerusalem remembered the days of her affliction, Verse 8 Jerusalem has sinned a great sin; Verse 9 Her uncleanness is before her feet; Verse 10 The oppressor has stretched out his hand Verse 11 All her people groan, Verse 12 All ye that pass by the way, Verse 13 He has sent fire from his lofty habitation, Verse 14 He has watched over my sins, Verse 15 The Lord has cut off Verse 16 Mine eye has poured out water, Verse 17 Zion has spread out her hand, Verse 18 The Lord is righteous; Verse 19 I called my lovers, Verse 20 Behold, O Lord; for I am afflicted: Verse 21 Hear, I pray you, for I groan: Verse 22 Let all their wickedness come before thy face;
