Proverbs 29 — GMV

See Hebrew/Greek in BSB →

29 A reprover is better than a stiff-necked man: When the righteous are praised, the people will rejoice: When a man loves wisdom, his father rejoices: A righteous king establishes a country: He that prepares a net in the way of his own friend, A great snare is spread for a sinner: A righteous man knows how to judge for the poor: Lawless men burn down a city: A wise man shall judge nations: Bloody men hate a holy person, A fool utters all his mind: When a king hearkens to unjust language, When the creditor and debtor meet together, When a king judges the poor in truth, Stripes and reproofs give wisdom: When the ungodly abound, sins abound: Chasten thy son, and he shall give thee rest; There shall be no interpreter to a sinful nation: A stubborn servant will not be reproved by words: If thou see a man hasty in his words, He that lives wantonly from a child, shall be a servant, A furious man stirs up strife, Pride brings a man low, He that shares with a thief, hates his own soul: They fearing and reverencing men unreasonably have been overthrown, Many wait on the favor of rulers; A righteous man is an abomination to an unrighteous man,
