47 Verse 1 A Psalm of praise for the sons of Korah on the second day of the week. Verse 2 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised Verse 3 The city of the great King Verse 4 God is known in her palaces, Verse 5 For, behold, the kings of the earth were assembled, Verse 6 They saw, and so they wondered: Verse 7 Trembling took hold on them: Verse 8 Thou wilt break the ships of Tarshish with a vehement wind. Verse 9 As we have heard, so have we also seen, Verse 10 We have thought of thy mercy, O God, Verse 11 According to thy name, O God, Verse 12 Let Mount Zion rejoice, Verse 13 Go round about Zion, and encompass her: Verse 14 Mark ye well her strength, Verse 15 For this is our God forever and ever:
