2 Verse 1 Wherefore did the heathen rage, ^{Verse 2} The kings of the earth stood up, ^{Verse 3} Saying, Let us break through their bonds, ^{Verse 4} He that dwells in the heavens shall laugh them to scorn, ^{Verse 5} Then shall he speak to them in his anger, ^{Verse 6} But I have been made king by him ^{Verse 7} Declaring the ordinance of the Lord: ^{Verse 8} Ask of me, and I will give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, ^{Verse 9} Thou shalt rule them with a rod of iron; ^{Verse 10} Now therefore understand, ye kings: ^{Verse 11} Serve the Lord with fear, ^{Verse 12} Accept correction, lest at any time the Lord be angry,
