10Verse 1These be the generations of the sons of Noah; Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And sons were born to them after the great flood.Verse 2The sons of Japheth were Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.Verse 3Forsooth the sons of Gomer were Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.Verse 4Forsooth the sons of Javan were Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim;Verse 5of these sons the isles of the heathen men were parted in their countries, each by his language, and meines, in his nations.Verse 6Soothly the sons of Ham were Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.Verse 7Forsooth the sons of Cush were Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtechah. The sons of Raamah were Sheba, and Dedan.Verse 8Forsooth Cush begat Nimrod; he began to be mighty in [the] earth,Verse 9and he was a strong hunter, or oppressor, of men before the Lord; of him a proverb went out, As Nimrod, a strong hunter before the Lord.Verse 10Soothly the beginning of his realm was Babylon, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.Verse 11Asshur went out of that land, and builded Nineveh, and [the] streets of the city, and Calah,Verse 12and Resen betwixt Nineveh and Calah; this is a great city.Verse 13And soothly Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,Verse 14and Pathrusim, and Casluhim; of which the Philistines and Caphtorim came forth.Verse 15Forsooth Canaan engendered Sidon, his first engendered son, Heth,Verse 16and Jebusites, and Amorites, Girgashites,Verse 17Hivites, and Arkites, Sinites,Verse 18and Arvadites, Zemarites, and Hamathites; and [the] peoples of Canaanites were sown abroad by these men.Verse 19And the terms of Canaan were made to men coming from Sidon to Gerar, till to Gaza, till thou enter into Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboiim, till to Lasha.Verse 20These were the sons of Ham, in their kindreds, and languages, and generations, and lands, and folks.Verse 21Also of Shem were born the fathers of all the sons of Eber, and Japheth was the more, or elder, brother of Shem[or Shem was the more or elder brother of Japheth].Verse 22The sons of Shem were Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.Verse 23The sons of Aram were Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.Verse 24And soothly Arphaxad begat Salah, of whom Eber was born.Verse 25And two sons were born to Eber, the name to the one son was Peleg, for the land was parted in his days; and the name of his brother was Joktan.Verse 26And that Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, Jerah,Verse 27and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,Verse 28and Obal, and Abimael, Sheba,Verse 29and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan.Verse 30And the habitation of them was made from Mesha, as men goeth till to Sephar, an hill of the east.Verse 31These be the sons of Shem, by kindreds, and languages, and countries, in their folks.Verse 32These be the meines of Noah, by their peoples, and nations; [the] folks [or Gentiles] in [the] earth were parted of these after the great flood.
