See Hebrew/Greek in BSB →

For the chief musician; set to Shushan Eduth. A michtam of David, for teaching. When he fought with Aram Naharaim and with Aram Zobah, and Joab returned and killed twelve thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt.

60Verse 1God, you have cast us off; you have broken through our defenses;
you have been angry; restore us again.
Verse 2You have made the land tremble; you have torn it apart;
heal its fissures, for it is shaking.
Verse 3You have made your people see difficult things;
you have made us drink the wine of staggering.
Verse 4For those who honor you,
you have set up a banner
to be displayed against those who carry the bow. Selah
Verse 5So that those you love may be rescued,
rescue us with your right hand and answer me.
Verse 6God has spoken in his holiness, “I will rejoice;
I will divide Shechem and apportion out the Valley of Succoth.
Verse 7Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine;
Ephraim also is my helmet;
Judah is my scepter.
Verse 8Moab is my washbasin;
over Edom I will throw my shoe;
I will shout in triumph because of Philistia.”
Verse 9Who will bring me into the strong city?
Who will lead me to Edom?
Verse 10But you, God, have you not rejected us?
You do not go into battle with our army.
Verse 11Give us help against the enemy,
for man's help is futile.
Verse 12We will triumph with God's help;
he will trample down our enemies.
