108Verse 1My heart is fixed, God; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises also with my honored heart. Verse 2Wake up, lute and harp; I will wake up the dawn. Verse 3I will give thanks to you, Yahweh, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations. Verse 4For your covenant faithfulness is great above the heavens; and your trustworthiness reaches to the skies. Verse 5Be exalted, God, above the heavens, and may your glory be exalted over all the earth. Verse 6So that those you love may be rescued, rescue us with your right hand and answer me. Verse 7God has spoken in his holiness; “I will rejoice; I will divide Shechem and apportion out the Valley of Succoth. Verse 8Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is my helmet; Judah is my scepter. Verse 9Moab is my washbasin; over Edom I will throw my shoe; I will shout in triumph because of Philistia. Verse 10Who will bring me into the strong city? Who will lead me to Edom?” Verse 11God, have you not rejected us? You do not go into battle with our army. Verse 12Give us help against the enemy, for man's help is futile. Verse 13We will triumph with God's help; he will trample down our enemies.
