37Verse 1A Psalm of David for remembrance concerning the Sabbath day.Verse 2O Lord, rebuke me not in thy wrath,Verse 3For thy weapons are fixed in me,Verse 4For there is no health in my flesh because of thine anger;Verse 5For my transgressions have gone over my head:Verse 6My bruises have become noisome and corrupt,Verse 7I have been wretched and bowed down continually:Verse 8For my soul is filled with mockings;Verse 9I have been afflicted and brought down exceedingly:Verse 10But all my desire is before thee;Verse 11My heart is troubled, my strength has failed me;Verse 12My friends and my neighbors drew near before me, and stood still;Verse 13While they pressed hard upon me that sought my soul:Verse 14But I, as a deaf man, heard not;Verse 15And I was as a man that hears not,Verse 16For I hoped in thee, O Lord:Verse 17For I said, Lest mine enemies rejoice against me:Verse 18For I am ready for plagues,Verse 19For I will declare mine iniquity,Verse 20But mine enemies live, and are mightier than I:Verse 21They that reward evil for good slandered me;Verse 22Forsake me not, O Lord my God:Verse 23Draw nigh to my help, O Lord of my salvation.
